Ice Cream Truck Driver Arrested for DUI

Posted on in DUI

An ice cream truck driver may be everyone's favorite person, but that doesn't necessarily protect him from a DUI arrest. An ice cream truck driver in Oregon was out selling ice cream as he usually did, when he found himself arrested for DUI.

The arrest seems to have been triggered by the fact that officers received a call about a truck driver who was driving erratically in traffic. According to the call, the driver actually hit the curb at least twice while driving. Police officers went out looking for the truck, and located the driver selling ice cream to children. The officers stopped the driver, and officers noticed signs of intoxication on the man.

Often, motorists who are arrested for DUI take the matter very lightly. A DUI conviction is no laughing matter. A conviction can have devastating consequences especially for your employability. You may findthat a DUI conviction severely limits your ability to be hired as a worker in certain types of professions and occupations. A conviction could severely impair a commercial driver's ability to look for work. It's not just workers in these occupations who may find the impact of a DUI conviction too much to bear. Persons who hold high positions of public authority and responsibility may also find that a conviction, and all of the consequences surrounding it, may impede their ability to advance in their chosen field.

To avoid all of these consequences, get legal guidance immediately when you are arrested for DUI. Call a Los Angeles DUI defense attorney immediately, and begin working on a defense. Most types of DUI charges can be successfully defended, and charges can be either dismissed or lowered.
