Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding a rollover accident in San Jose that happened recently to determine the underlying causes and whether actions on the part of the driver may have been to blame.

A gray Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was traveling in the northbound lanes when CA Highway Patrol claims the driver suddenly swerved for an as yet undetermined reason. As a result, the vehicle collided with a guardrail, which caused it to roll over and land on its roof in the fast lane. There were seven people inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. Three passengers were killed while the driver and three other people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. No other vehicles were impacted as a result and police have determined that neither drugs or alcohol use was a factor.
